As one of the founding board members of NETPAC/USA, the executive director of the Pacific Rim Film Festival in Santa Cruz, and accomplished writer and friend, Jeanne Wakatsuki Houston left an indelible legacy that inspired the next generations of Asian American writers and filmmakers to share their own stories.

NETPAC/USA is proud to support filmmaker Vilsoni Hereniko’s short film WOVEN, based on an actual incident. Premiering at the 2024 Hawaiʻi International Film Festival, the film explores indigenous traditions and cultural identity disrupted by urban development.
